I created ChangetheWorld.me to document the process of building a successful website or online brand from the ground up. I wanted to create a resource that not necessarily focused on how to make money online, but one that helped entrepreneurs who are trying to take that next step and create something great. Hopefully the content on this site can help coach you to creating a better website and help to jump start your success on the internet.

As of right now, this site is in the “experimental phase” which means I may shift directions depending on how well the concept is received.  Any feedback or suggestions are much appreciated.

Here are some free online tools that I use every day to change the world.

WordPress is an open source blogging platform / content managment system that allows you to create website or blog in just minutes. I love WordPress because not only is it free, but it has a huge development community that have created plugins and addons saving you hundreds of hours of custom development time. WordPress comes in two flavors, a self hosted version (recommended) and WordPress.com, where your blog is hosted for free by WordPress.

Google Analytics provides you with in-depth website analytics and detailed reporting, allowing you to keep track of daily website visitors. More importantly Google Analytics allows you to spot visitor trends, split test new pages and optimize your site to bring in more business and generate more money.

OK, well this one isn’t free but it’s fairly cheap. Once you have your website or blog set up you may want to create an email newsletter that visitors can subscribe to. AWeber allows you to create and manage email lists, set up autoresponders, and track the effectiveness of your email campaigns. If your looking for an easy and affordable way to set up an email newsletter on your site, you want to use AWeber.
